Brazil and Kenya are pioneering examples of efforts to build a skilled workforce—not only within CDR supplier, buyer, registry, and marketplace teams but also among local partners and stakeholders such as farmers, mine workers, forest owners, investors, government officials, and policymakers—to effectively engage in and lead CDR initiatives. Experiences and examples from Brazil and Kenya can provide insights for CDR suppliers and stakeholders in other regions as well, particularly regarding the logistics of co-location, procurement of low-carbon supply chains, and demonstrating robust and durable removals through science-driven MRV.
